If you are expecting something in the style of Cornwell's Sharpe series, you'll be very disappointed. This novel, while based on an historical event, is full of meaningless, boring dialogue, page after page of it. I got to page 130-something and called it quits, as I couldn't see myself reading another 300 pages of uninspired filler.
