Stockholm Syndrome at its finest.
Daughter of a Don, Grace was a disgraced in her father's eye, she was his only child and not the gender he wanted, but since she was his disgrace he used her for his own gain, she was his slave or personal beat toy. So when she was kidnapped her father didn't really care as long as she gave him answers if she ever lived.
