A backstabbing 'leader', an oversexed barbarian wench, an undersexed thief, a spoiled rotten princess, a genespliced anihuman and a human raised by aliens who rapes dead women and eats them.

Oh yeah, really good material to start off with. Freer uses the sex card way to much in this novel, to the point where it seems it really should be one of those porno western books instead of a serious novel.

And it wraps up in the snap of a finger. I have to admit, I had higher expectations, and they were dashed. No more Freer for me.

All that stands between the aliens and the destruction of the planet are three unlikely heroes. A street-child thief, a dispossessed and totally spoiled brat of a sixteen year- old princess and a confused, amoral, alien-raised human. If they can gather all the transmitter sections before the aliens do, then there is a chance of survival.
An easy read.
