This is the second book in the Nightwalker series. I enjoyed the first book about Ramses but this was not as good. I never connected to the couple, especially Marissa. In fact I really disliked her and all that angst. Jackson/Menes was okay but I liked him better in the first book.
And where was all the action? Only in the first chapters and then it was all that juvenile angst through most of the book.
Glad to see Leo is getting his own story next.

Wanted to like it. I wanted to enjoy Marissa's and Jackson's story. It did not happen. Marissa came across as wimpy, weak and unlikable. Jackson, on the other hand, is an unlikable muscle-bound idiot.
I did not like this book. The heroine was not in the least heroic, but rather petulant and whiney. I could not like her in the least. The hero was not well developed and not believable as a person. :-(
