This book was amazing, even for Karen Kingsbury. A satisfying finish to the Firstborn series, a few tissues for the strong emotional reaction, and of course looking forward to the Sunrise series coming out to continue the adventures with these characters.

Excellent last book of this series! Author does a great job of bringing each character into the story line while challenging the reader in their own relationships. A must read!!
This is the conclusion of the Firstborn series, featuring Dayne Matthews and Katy Hart. This one is a little slow moving in terms of action, but the stories are peppered throughout with the Baxters which is always a treat. This book really spoke to my spirit on several matters of how to live life as a Christian, walking out your beliefs, without being preachy.

I have found these books are not good stand alone books as the ending always leaves a little suspense for the reader that only the future books in the series will help answer.
Tragedy strikes, and love is tested and celebrated as the main characters, Katy and Dayne learn what faith is all about. The Baxters are ever present in the book too, as well as the Flanigans who Katy lives with.
These books have been quick reads for me.

Another of Karen Kingsbury's inspiring stories about the Baxter family. She never disappoints in the quality of her writing, and the story is always filled with their dependence upon God to carry them through each situation.
