I really disliked Carmen in this book because of the way she let herself be treated, but it looks like she finally figured things out in the end. They all went through a lot of bad times in this book (although perhaps not as bad as before) and the ending leaves things open for hope for each of them - not perfect but with the chance for happiness.

I had bought the book when it came out in February and as is typical, it's sat in my pile TBR forever. So I picked up the CDs at the library and just finished them the other day (5/10/07.) I really enjoyed seeing how the girls have grown over the course of the 4th summer, each branching off and trying to learn to grown on their own. A nice conclusion (?!) to the series. The story is read with a lovely inflection.

This is the 4th book in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. In this book, the girls learn to come to terms with love and what their friendship is really made of as they realize that they are now adults. Although Tibby's story is usually the most interesting to me, this time I think Lena's story was the most outstanding as her character really develops into her own person (something we caught a glimpse at in the 3rd book).
