Lerner does a fabulous job of sharing what's inside the head of editors and agents, since she's been there herself. Includes smart advice, suggestions and words of warning. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to be a published author.

This isn't really a book about writing. It's more about what to expect if you're an author. Betsy Lerner writes about the pitfalls to be wary of, but she also keeps it interesting with anecdotes about famous authors. The book strikes me as a very realistic view of how things really work in the publishing world.
