This is an EXCELLENT memoir - I really enjoyed reading about the author's correspondence as a young girl and teenager, and then her insightful tracking of the people some twenty/thirty/forty years later. She had penpals all around the world, which launched her into a yearning for the foreign correspondence career that she eventually chose. Good read.
