The FBI has had an agent working undercover in the home of crime boss Gordon Burns, for over two months, working on getting information on possible terrorist activity. When that agent misses her check in Jules Cassidy assumes the worse and works on trying to find out what happened to the agent, while wrapping up the case against the Mr. Burns.

When Annie hires in at her brother's long time friend's PI office, she is under the assumption she is going to be working on cases, not answering phones. Ric doesn't want Annie doing anything remotely dangerous, but when a simple missing person case comes up, he takes Annie along. When it turns out the missing person links them to Gordon Burns, Ric and Annie eventually get in contact with Jules and the FBI. (For you long time Troubleshooter fans, you may remember Ric as the police officer that befriends Gina when her hotel room is broken into.)

Entering into the mix is Robin Chadwick, Jules' long time 'infatuation'. His star is on the rise and he has caught the attention of the movie lover, Gordon Burns; making this crime fighting threesome into a foursome.

Like any of the stories in the Troubleshooters series, there was no shortage of action and adventure. However, the highlight of this story for me was the characters, the relationships and how they all worked together. Ric and Annie were a hilarious and fun duo, I laughed and laughed. Jules and Robin have had two years to stew and think about their feelings for one another; finally they are 'forced' to confront each other, to be honest.

I can't think of a single thing I disliked about this story or would change; even the book's dedication was touching. A bonus to the story is that we are treated to glimpses/updates into some of the other Troubleshooter's lives and introduced to a character that I hope shows up in a future book. Ms. Brockmann wrote a story that managed to be hilarious, emotional, action packed, heart warming, suspenseful and impossible to put down. It's one of those rare books that after you finish reading it, you are tempted to turn back to page one and start the journey all over again!

I am a huge fan of Ms. Brockmann's, & have read all the Troubleshooters books. This one does not disappoint, but only enhances her in my eyes.

Ric Alvarado is an ex-cop turned private investigater. Ric and his Girl Friday, Annie, think they have accepted a simple, safe trace case. Bullets start flying and they end up in the employ of crime boss, Gordon Burns. The FBI is interested in Burns and have been watching his compound and movements for two years. The FBI agent that infiltrated Burns' organization has gone missing and feared dead. Ric and Annie are approached by FBI agent Jules and recruited to help get the goods on Burns. Robin Chadwick happens to be in town promoting his latest movie. He is thrilled to see Jules again after several years and tries to resume where they left off. As the heat between Ric and Annie and Jules and Robin reaches dangerous levels, so do the risks they're willing to take.

Brockman delivers again. Four stars.

Suzanne Brockmann continues to impress me with her well written love stories featuring a diverse group of individuals. Jules' story with Robin is, to me, the feature story, and is amazingly done! Suzanne continues to create memorable characters that move from book to book, increasing the depth of the Troubleshooters world - which continues to be a microcosm of the real one.

Suzanne writes great love stories about people who may or may not be white, straight, or perfectly built - and the story isn't about any of those things exclusively, but those characteristics are built in seamlessly.

My house could have fallen down around me and I wouldn't have cared. This book is fabulous! I have been reading the books in the Troubleshooters series pretty much one after another for the last month or so, and this one has definitely moved up toward (if not to) the very top of my favorites list.

The story was great, with a very believable plot. Ric and Annie were both normal, down to earth likeable characters who you really WANTED to get together. I loved, loved, loved the development of the Robin/Jules romance. I know the gay romantic plot may put some people off, but I honestly thought it was done just right. I was definitely pulling for them to work out their issues and have their love conquer all.

I felt like I was watching a movie while reading this book. I was alternating between reading fast so I could see what happens next and reading slow (and rereading certain parts) because I wanted to savor every exciting, stressful, emotional and touching scene in the book. I didn't want it to end.

Loved this book! I was almost ecstatic to see Jules and Robin finally get their story told, even if it wasn't the main story line. I also truly enjoyed Ric and Annie and am waiting on pins and needles for the next book that comes out in November.

Another great read by Ms. Brockmann. The story was satisfying and I loved that Jules got his HEA even if it was the secondary storyline.

This series is my favorite and this book was the best yet. Brockmann's characters are well written and even her support characters become friends. This is one of my favorite books of the series. I find myself rereading the series and see something new each time.

Tracking down a woman for his client seemed like an easy job. But private investigator Ric Alvarado and his assistant Annie Dugan get caught up in the world of notorious crime boss Gordon Burns. When the FBI gets wind of it, Agent Jules Cassidy asks Ric and Annie to go undercover and gather information about an agent to had been placed in the Burns compound but has missed several check-ins. Jules is working the case when he comes face-to-face with Robin Chadwick, a movie actor who once broke Jules' heart. Robin is in town promoting his new movie, and Gordon Burns is a movie buff who is throwing a party for the star. Robin invites Jules, Ric, and Annie to the party which gives them a way into the Burns home to search for clues to what happened to the last agent they planted in the Burns compound.

The action/suspense portions of this story were very well written. I had a hard time putting this book down. Ric and Annie are new to the Troubleshooters series, even though we did get a glimpse of Ric in a previous book. They've known each other for years and there is an attraction between them that Ric is reluctant to act on. I liked both of these characters and hope they show up in future books. But the characters I was most looking forward to in this book were Jules and Robin. Robin is in the closet and is not willing to come out to his fans. He also has an alcohol problem but won't admit it. Jules wants a man who will be his partner, not someone who hides his true self from the public. The attraction between the two characters is off the charts. I was very happy with their story. I know we will see more of them in this series. My ratings: 5 Stars.

While I am a true fan of Suzanne B, Troubleshooter series, one of my favorite characters' is FBI agent Jules C. Force of Nature delivered plenty of this character as well as to new fun character. A story well told and I greatly appreciate getting my Jules "fix". Can't wait to read next book to continue to feed my Jules addiction.
