very good as always, this one could use a third book in the series in my opinion, there is just so much left to know. I truly love Beverly Lewis Amish bookd, the characters are so real, they are in my mind well after I finish the book. I can't wait to read more of them.

This Book one of three kept me guessing. Nellie meets the love of her life and it is threatened by changes in the rules the Amish set up for daily living. This is one of the better books by Beverly Lewis; although I have not read one by her I did not like.

This is the 2nd book of three in the series, "The Courtship of Nellie Fisher. The first book begins in 1966 and this book starts in 1967. Beverly Lewis describes a time in an Old Order Amish Community that is seeing changes as some people are finding salvation, (a source of contention among the Old Order), and are wanting to change their life accordingly. Love and loyalty are tested as losses are experienced and relationships strained. Quick read.

Another great book by Beverly Lewis...can't wait for The Longing to come out!
If you love reading about the Amish lifestye- this book is for you. Couldn't put the book down.
I found this series to be different than most Amish books. It gave a more realistic picture of the difference between their religion and true Christianity and showed why it is so difficult for the Amish to convert. I enjoyed this book much more than I have other Amish fiction because it was more realistic and also more unique.
