Kayla Grey travels to Montana and is caught in a snowstorm, only to be saved by the very man she came to see. Cal Bartlett is the brother of the man who'd wanted to marry her. Now she is here to tell him that his dead brother may not be dead after all. Cal doesn't want to be drawn to the woman his brother loved. Now she is insisting that he might be alive and asking Cal to join in a dangerous search. Cal hopes if he finds his brother, his feelings for Kayla won't tear them apart.
Fast moving story. Only a little bit of suspense. I thought the "problem" could have been resolved if the hero and heroine actually talked to each other. My rating: 3.5 Stars.

This is a re-release of an older series romance by Suzanne Brockmann who write a great series of navy seal books. This book was a decent romance with lots of angst and solid characterization and a little mystery but it didn't move me in the way her newer books always do.
quick easy read with likable characters
Very good book. Kayla and Cal were steamy. Can't wait for Liam's story.

When Kayla Grey travels from Boston to Montana, the last place she expects to end up is huddled beneath a blanket of dirt in the middle of a fierce snowstorm. And the last person hse expects to rescue her is the very man she'd come to find. Cal Bartlett was a true-blue cowboy, complete with horse, and the most amazing eyes Kayla had ever seen. He was also the brother of the man who'd wanted to marry her. But she didn't discover that until it was too late - after they'd kissed by a roaring fire and Kayla felt a desire she'd never known. Cal could handle Mother Nature, but could he handle the news Kayla brought with her? That his dead brother might not be dead after all? Cal couldn't imagine why he was being tested in this way - irresistibly drawn to the woman his brother had loved. Now she was insisting he might be alive, asking Cal to join her on a dangerous search based on a rumor from a stranger...And torn between guilt and longing, Cal would do just that, hoping against hope that wanting this woman wouldn't mean losing his brother once again.
