Audio Review:
In this thriller, the staff ethicist of a top-secret artificial intelligence project suspects that his friend and colleague had been murdered because of his opposition to the project's questionable practices. He and his beautiful shrink, who plays Scully to his Mulder, have to flee the project's relentless hit woman. What is the project's hidden agenda? How did the project's super-scan of his brain trigger his narcoleptic delusions? Why does he, an atheist, dream of being Jesus? Narrator Dick Hill expertly sustains the tension and suspense throughout and movingly plays the hero's sorrows. He is less successful with characterization, but that's because the author hasn't drawn the characters very well. -- AudioFile
