Helpful Score: 2
An important Russian folktale - interesting and faithfully taken from the famous fabulist Arthur Ransome. The illustrations are colorful and pertinent to the telling of the story. The Fool, as is usual with folk-tale fools, is no fool at all - and he knows the importance of helping others.

The Fool of the World, a peasant looked down on by his parents, wins the hand of the Czar's daughter after overcoming enormous obstacles....from the back of the book.
