The next series is so real. It is about starting over without bitterness and really finding the wonderful you that was already there. I like the positive themes.

Absolutely wonderful book about a woman in her 50s who wakes up to realize this isn't the life she signed up for and decides to make some major changes. And by changing herself, she forces her husband and eldest daughter to make changes in their own lives, too.

LOVED this book!!

A micro view of a marriage and parent/child relationship. Thoughtful, caring and sometimes funny. The mid-course correction was needed and handled well in the telling.

From the back of book:
If this is Beth Holt Martin's life, she wants a refund. It's true. At 53, all Beth's got is a sex-starved marriage to Howard the psychiatrist, an (almost) empty nest and a suitcase full of long-forgotten dreams of becoming...well, something more.

This book was OK, but I found it kind of dry. The situations the characters find themselves in are all too realistic.
