Officially.he bagged 29 enemy planes. Unofficially, he destroyed 35. He won the Distinguished Service Order and was only the second man in history to gain a second bar to the Distingushed Flying Cross. He was a national hero around the world.This book is so good it has been passed around the family and friends.Now to my unknown friends at PBS. Anyone will enjoy this.
