i was really excited to read this but was so disappointed with several holes in the logic and physics behind the different dimensional worlds. The plot was completely secondary to the ideas of the dimensions but thats okay because the book is strong in pointing out closed mindedness, pride and arrogance in society. So overall, a bit of bummer but an easy read so i say it's worth a read!

A very witty and well written tale. A geometrician's delight and a wonderfully human story. Timeless and well worth the effort to read through to the end.

It was an interesting way to view dimensions and various shapes ... although I had a tough time getting my mind around some of the concepts. It covers 1-dimension of a point, who is full of himself. Then the 2-dimension square is introduced to a 3-dimension cube. At first, this was difficult for him to comprehend. But once he does then his mind is open to the possibility of 4-dimension and beyond. But when he tries to convince his fellow 2-dimension shapes, they are closed minded and throw him in prison. I don't understand the point to using inferior and dangerous women in this science fiction world.
