I have a copy of this one and use it nearly every single day. The majority of the recipes taste great, are not too expensive to prepare and my family loves them! I wish I had more books with good crock-pot recipes like this one!

This was the biggest cookbook seller at our local bookshop for over a year. The recipes are all submitted by housewives around the country, so you have your choice of any number of styles of, say, pot roast or stew, for any number of servings. It's a very good, basic slow-cooker cookbook.

Wonderful book! I am only posting it because I just reorganized my cookbooks and discovered that I have two copies. The recipes are concise and easy to follow. One I just tried last month was turkey breast cooked with a can of whole cranberry sauce, an envelope of dry onion soup, 1/2C orange juice, salt, and pepper, and it was great. So easy to prepare.
The book is organized by, among other things, breakfast foods, breads, soups, mains, bean dishes, vegetables, and deserts, and it has a 24-page index.

This very popular cookbook is heavy on midwestern delights--casseroles, meat, and potatoes dishes. It is completely inadequate for a strict vegetarian, vegan, or health-food fanatic, but has tons of recipes for families on the go who like comfort foods. The recipes tend to be rather bland--a good bet that kids will like them.

This is a great cookbook...here's why: There are over 800 recipes in here!
Of course you won't care for probably at least half of them, but that leaves 400 left. It isn't cluttered up with any photos, there are about 4 to 5 recipes per page. No excess verbiage but easily understandable and concise.
What I like the best is that there are so many recipes in the book there is enough space to offer several/many versions of the same dish. There must be 25 recipes for pot roast, meatloaf as well. This applies to the less popular dishes too. The beauty is that you can more or less mix and match, swapping ingredients from other recipes or leaving some out.
It's an idea factory every time you flip through the pages. There's always a section you haven't looked at yet.

Great recipes for the old 'crock pot'. Some require more prep than others, but you can usually find a simple one and use what you've already got on hand.

After taking up cooking and baking when I retired every cookbook is a challenge. I never pass up the opportunity to acquire a cookbook, no matter what kind. Crock pot cooking is so much different because there is much less prep work required and once the ingredients are in the pot you don't have to check it for at least five hours. Sort of takes the fun out of new hobby.
