This devotional is cute and animal themed. A short one page devotional with the 2nd page asking 3-4 very short questions about the animal that was talked about and then applies it to the child's life. A short Bible verse is at the end of 2nd page. My children enjoy this devotional because of the animals that it talks about and the pictures.
I'm only writing this review to let others know that this is the exact same devotional as My Big Book of 5-minute Devotions. The only difference is that this copy is hard back as is listed but also spiral bound. The ISBNs are different of course, but just wanted to let everyone know so you don't make the same mistake I did, I thought I was getting the next book in a series of 3, but really there's only 2 of these Five Minute Devotions for Children. The second book is titled "More" Five Minute Devotions.
The books are wonderful for kids to use as devotions. My daughter and I loved it. The author uses the behaviors in God's creation as teachable lessons for kids to try and follow or avoid. Ants are strong together even though they are so small... Tadpoles change as they grow up just as children do... the story of the Cuckoo Bird from cockoo clocks, they are birds that seem very selfish in nature and how if we act like that others won't enjoy us as friends... all how God cares for each of us and his creation.
Interactive & easy questions for kids to answer, and a scripture for every story.

It's a great book. Very informative about nature and draws useable lessons for children to emulate.
