We get to meet up with a number of (long-lived) Dragaerans who will be prominent in the Vlad Taltos books such as Aliera e'Kieron and Sethra Lavode, and learn the details of what happened with Lord Adron e'Kieron's scheme that so dramatically changed the history of Dragaera City. Second in the series, after the Phoenix Guards and before the Viscount of Adrilankha.
