This was my first exposure to Agatha Christie and Miss Marple and I was very pleased! Great stories with a multiplicity of characters to suspect and not so much foreshadowing that you know who "did it" before you're supposed to. Old-fashioned and fun! My only advice is to read the fifth story in the book before the first one for a sense of continuity.
