There are a number of short stories in this book. Most really are too short to be very good. First one is about a teacher trying to get a student to stop smoking, but not much there.
The second one is about an older couple with one feeling very insecure now that he's not so 'cute' in his mind. This really should have been a little longer because the idea was good.
The third is kinda funny where it not what it seems to be. OK but not great.
the fourth about a love/romance between a clerk in a bookstore and a customer, not bad.
The last one is the best about a fat kid whose good friend finally tells him that he likes fat kids (him really) and what the declaration does for him. The best of the bunch. I'd like this just for this and number 4 alone.
