Charming little book about Scandinavian Lutherans. I read it while dating a Swedish Lutheran and it gave in insight into his family.

One of the best books I have ever read. You feel the warmth and happiness of being a part of this family. I also found it spiritually uplifting as there were many lessons learned thru their experiences. It also gives wonderful insight to the life of homemakers in the early 1920's. Very inspiring! A book every Christian homemaker would want to read.

This book is wonderful. It is full of stories of perseverance, hope, and the encouraging message that our Lord has us always in the palm of His hand - it is we who forget. I will be keeping this book and pulling it out regularly for a re-read.

"For 68 years Papa preached to the Scandinavian settlers while Mama put on the coffee pot and taught 'the living' through her wonderful stories and songs."

A highly entertaining, ture story of an immigrant family told nwith romance, mystery, tragedy and comdedy. This unique treasure trove of character building stories of faith and humor from the life of Margaret Jensen's parents will bless and benefit you.

Their stubborn courage and unshakable faith, mingled with humor and strumming guitars, will bring renewed hope to people today.
