Not as compelling as the first two books in this series, mainly because there's not as much psychologically at stake for the main characters, not as much takes place in the Faroes (there are a lot of scenes in Denmark) and the minor characters aren't as interesting this time - except for a researcher who may or may not be on the autism spectrum.
