I really enjoyed reading this story. I would not have put it down if it not were for homework and work. This story flowed nicely and had plenty of adventure, mystery and romance to keep the reader engaged throughout. I did not want this story to end. I would highly recommend it.

The Fire in Ember was an absolutely great read. Once I started I couldn't put it down. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a great romance. I loved the characters and started falling in love with John and Bert right away along with the rest of the Timmons. They are all great people and I hope that I get to see more of them later on.
This book has something for everyone. This was the 1st time that I've had the pleasure of reading a Diann Mills novel and it won't be the last. The book is set in Colorado in the 1880's. I found the characters well developed and very likeable . The story itself had mystery, faith ,love, and hope to overcome family problems and crime.
You Laugh and cry. This story will definately tug on your heart. Nice Christian Western Romance and I would recommend this book. Can't wait to hear more from Diann Mills on the Timmons family. Would recommend this one!

Another great story by DiAnn Mills. This is a stand-alone book, but picks up the lives of a family introduced in her book "A Woman Called Sage." I really enjoy when an author writes another book about characters from previous books, especially when it is not a series. If this is your first DiAnn Mills book, you could easily go back and read "A Woman Called Sage" without feeling you read the books out of order.
Ember comes from an abusive environment, and when she comes to live with the Timmons family, she is confused by the love between Leah and her sons, and unsure of her new faith. She really wants to do the right thing, but is bound by fear that has been instilled in her.
Highly recommend.
