I really wanted to like this book and I tried up to page 200, I didn't much care for the theme of the story, I like the character John Becker and want to follow him but this was very very slow and the theme was scattered all over the place, it went back and forth between so many people and places and by page 200 I was just bored and frustrated that it just wasn't moving along, it was trying to string you along to keep you reading but I just couldn't stick with it I found it to be so slow and that's not my kind of reading.

First I've read by this author but I'm an immediate fan. Detailed, descriptive and brutal story of a serial killer who delights in the slow torture and murder of young women and the troubled ex-FBI agent lured back to the hunt. Not recommended for the claustrophobic or weak of heart.

Former FBI manhunter John Becker again plunges into the decaying mind of a killer.
