Brenda Joyce always tells a thrilling tale of love and danger. While this book borrows much from The Pygmalion, it is still a wonderful read for anyone who enjoys historical fiction. A plucky heroine, a dashing hero, a villain who is not so evil as he seems, and some steaming hot sex to sweeten the mix.

I had to review this one. This book started out well, but got really unrealistic about 2/3 of the way through. Very cliche and just not good. Since this is the first book of hers I have read, I am hoping the next one is better.

Two people from different worlds were brought together by passion, bound together by whispered accusations, and town apart by scandal and misfortune. The world claimed they should never love each other. Their hearts claimed otherwise.
