Laura has had an obsession with mirrors her entire life, looking into them and collecting them, searching for the right one. She finds it at an estate sale at the Kilbourne mansion, somehow knowing that this mirror is what she has been searching for her entire life. That night Peter Kilbourne comes to her apartment the mirror is a family heirloom accidentally put in the sale, and can he buy it back from her for $500? She refuses, he leaves, and that night he is murdered, last seen in the company of a redhead. Laura is a redhead. Laura gets drawn into the family, several generations jumbled into one giant mansion outside Atlanta, each member holding onto secrets, one of which has to do with the antique mirror. This was well-written but there was way too much sex in it for my tastes, otherwise would have had more stars.
