Good book by Ferrarella. She really does a nice job with a heroine who evolves from a spouse who for years has played the "Donna Reed" role to someone who stands up for herself, all without losing her love for her husband and children.

The first half of the book was a lot of arguing between the wife (main character) and her neurosurgeon husband: money, the adult kids, the house. The wife inherit a dog and $250,000. What do to with the money? She decides to remodel the house. Can the house and her marriage be saved? Quick read. Happy ending.

This author's take on marriage escapes me. Why the heroine wanted to stay with her stick of a husband baffled me...Essentially he was a big jerk and still, they live happily ever after?!
