Finding Home, by Linda Howard, Elizabeth Lowell, and Kasey Michaels.

This is one of my well worn dog eared keepers, that I find myself pulling out time after time.

The first of the three novels that this book contains is Duncan's Bride. It's about a Chic and loving woman, who has family and friends in the city, but she's lonely, and searching for something better. It's also about a bitter rancher who lost half his ranch to the Chic wife who divorced him. The two meet through an add, and Madelyn, who falls in love at first sight, marries a man who is sure he will never trust a sophisticated city woman again. The sparks fly, the war to win his heart is on, and the fun begins.

The second story is Chain lightning by Elizabeth Lowell. Mandy has a smart mouth. She is funny, and competent, but she has been through enormous tragedy. Sutter is her bosses nephew. He has a very low opinion of women, and only wants them for one thing. Anthea throws them both together on a holiday on a small Australian island, not knowing that Mandy is scared to death, of both small planes and water. Sutter is amazed at the way Mandy is tackling her fears head on, and the close quarters they are sharing bring them too close to a growing passion for each other that they would rather ignore. It's the one liners between these two characters, and the steamy love scenes that really make this story one of my favorites. It's smart and funny and sexy.

The third story is Popcorn and Kisses. It's a sweet, and funny romance that revolves around one of the last drive-in theatres in America.

When I know I want a good read, and I am not sure I want to try a new unknown book yet, I pull this old favorite off the shelf, and sit down to enjoy the read!

Interesting set of stories, all good. I especially enjoyed Duncan's Bride by Linda Howard-the story about the marriage of 2 who did not even know each other.

In Duncan's Bride by Linda Howard, the hero is too domineering and controlling. In Chain Lightning by Elizabeth Lowell, too many lovemaking scenes described in explicit detail for my personal liking. Popcorn and Kisses by Kasey Michaels was the only one of the three that I liked, maybe because the story was about courtship and not having sex (although there were a few steamy kissing scenes that kept things interesting).

DUNCANS BRIDE (Linda Howard) Still reeling from a costly divorce years before, Reese Duncan wanted to marry again. However, as only hand on his ranch, he didnt have time to court. Finally, he decided to put a personal ad in several newspapers.

Duncan got 3 replies. His first visitor was Madelyn Patterson, a New Yorker who was a much a clotheshorse as his first wife. Although there was significant chemistry between them, Reese told her she wouldnt do.

Once Duncan met Madelyn, he wasnt interested in the other two. He knew it would be a mistake to marry Madelyn; she was too much like his first wife.

CHAIN LIGHTNING (Elizabeth Lowell) After an airplane crash into the ocean which cost Mandy Blythe-Cameron her husband and unborn child, she settled into a job far from airplanes and oceans.

Through the machinations of her employer, Mandy found herself on an island off the Great Barrier Reef with Damon Sutter, a troubleshooter for the foundation where they both worked. This forced Mandy to face her fears if they didnt kill her first.

POPCORN AND KISSES (Kasey Michaels) This is the only author with which I was unfamiliar. However, this is an absolutely charming story about a drive-in theatre that has outlived its glory days. Zachary St. Clair has bought it in a group of theatres and is horrified to see the disaster hes purchased.

This puts him at odds with the manager and granddaughter of the drive-ins builder, Sharon Wheeler. They lock horns early and often. There is so much detail in this story that I learned a great deal about drive-ins; they were fascinating and labor-intensive.

All the stories were worth reading but POPCORN AND KISSES was special.
