Interesting use of epic poetry, reminiscent of classic poetry. Beautiful sepia tinted illustrations.
Not as good as the first two in this series, but still very good, The Finale completes Calvin Miller's The Singer Trilogy (The Singer, The Song, and The Finale). This poetic narrative reads like a tale told by bards long ago and concludes the larger story of the Singer and his Song. Just as CS Lewis's The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe provides a moving metaphor for the Christian Gospel, so The Singer, The Song, and The Finale do the same. This is a story of incarnation and redemption.
"He comes in power, Rejoice, the hour of jubilee is near. Lift up the cry Before we die, our Singer will appear."
An allegory in science fiction form.
