Ok, first off i must say i am not a golfer. I probably never will be a golfer, but i have just recentely moved to NC where there are so many golf courses you can't blink without missing one. I wanted to read all the southern info i can cram into my head. Golf is a huge way of life here, but you don't have to be into golf to enjoy this read. If you are one you will love this read. The meat of the read is not really about golf, it is about a relationship between father and son based around golf. This was the beautiful part. It is very well written, the author did a lovely job of showing love, caring and understanding. It made me want to be sure i spent time with my loved ones doing whatever we love to do together so that we might have the magical experience and memories this family made.

my friend liked it. it had a history of golf courses, as well as tthe story of father and son sharing time while dad's dying.
