I found the book interesting and keeping true to the "Kirk" personality.There were a few things that happened in the plot that probably have taken place in the "Star Trek Universe", but even with those mistakes, it was enjoyable.
Good classic star trek book. Involves Kirk's father and a mission that he and Kirk went on when he was a kid.
