A book filled with film reviews from 1930 to 1939. Some of those are: A Tale of Two Cities, Bride of Frankenstein, Abraham Lincoln, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Bird of Paradise, Gold Diggers of 1933, King Kond, The House of Rothschild, My Man Godfrey, Stella Dallas, The Citadel, The Wizard of Oz, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and many, many more. Each film listed has credits and cast as well as , description of film. Black and white 'pics' of films to go along with each film listed in book. A great book for the film lover, especially old films.

A perfect starter book for beginners into the realm of 1930's film. It doesn't cover all that much beyond the standards - Wizard Of Oz, Gone With The Wind, etc. This is merely a short overview - so many films have been overlooked that there should be several volumes published!
