interesting analogy of the slots in one's life to fish bowls
fish bowls were always a great platform for me to start a creative synapse with. clear, weathered, chipped glass, old mason jars, clear though. from young ages we controlled, not a single person never not wanted control, one point in life. we look back at circumstances and give up. i am in the business of thought, though i have no idea how to relate those thoughts to others in a vivid manor, i'll just keep typing for my own good. years later we think back to how with a little fish we did nothing but had it's lives in our hands. we grow up and buy bigger fish with bigger scales and larger lips, longer fins and thicker gills. we concentrate harder on what to name them the older we get. as kids, it was the names we liked we chose. as adults, we care about what others will think and pace the attic in our heads for names with great depth and meaning. we name them: house. we name them: family vacation. we name them: marriage. we name them: friendship. WE named them. |
