This is a great book. A geologist explains why he wanted to go into the Kalahari, what he did to get there, how his research was structured, challenges he faced (attitudes, spirit fears, crocodiles, mosquitoes, and numerous other breakdowns and catastrophes. However he is successful and proves that the Great Rift Valley extends further than anyone suspected, as a fault line in the earth. I loved learning something new, visualizing the animals and ways of the people, and very much enjoyed his skillful writing.
