Excellent book - every architecture fan should have it on their shelf. This paperback copy has fairly small text/photos, but not impossible. If you can, I'd get the original hard bound, which I assume is larger, but this book is designed to cover the entire range of human habitation in North America. I'd call that a serious endeavour! And one which succeeds pretty well.
