This was the first in-depth book about Fibromyalgia. When I read it, I cried at finally realizing that I was not crazy or a nut. My pain and problems were now explained to me as well as possible treatments, yes treatments and helpful info about diet, exercise and alternative medicine. The new book The Fibromyalgia Advocate is somewhat similar from what I saw rather quickly scanning the book. If you have Fibromyalgia, I highly suggest you get this book or the Advocate and sit down and read it, cover to cover. There are many chapters dealing with the myriad of problems that come with having Fibro. People still look at me and think I am faking it or crazy since I LOOK normal. It is hard for someone without Fibro to REALLY understand.
