Kaminsky has placed "Toby Peters" in some interesting mysteries. Okay, so some of them dragged a bit. Good authors sometimes do that and you just have to put up with it. But I think this one is the best "Toby Peters" I've read so far. Yeah, sure it's Noir, but along with the pathos there is a lot of heartfelt joy in it too. I can only describe the last three chapters, especially the last one, as great!
