Nora Ephron reads her book beautifully, which makes sense since it is a compilation of her own essays and thoughts. I really enjoyed it, found much of it quite wise and funny and would recommend it to other women over forty, especially if they have ever lived in NYC.

I was able to stay with the book as much of the material was quite good. However, I really couldn't feel sorry for her when the owner of her EIGHT ROOM Manhattan apt was able to get the rent raised from the $1500/mo she was paying to something more realistically approaching market value.

These 3 CD's were a Christmas gift and I'm house cleaning. In excellent condition. A great listen if you commute everyday- funny, for those over 40 yrs of age!

This book covers a wide subject matter and gives a New Yorker insider perspective that's always enjoyable to hear. I am laughing out loud and found connection and good advice in every chapter.

This is by far one of the worst audio books I have ever listened to. It is read by the author and it is so boring. I don't know if the book is any better but I sure hope it is.

An easy listen, with funny spots. Definitely best for those of a certain age because those younger simply won't relate (or don't want to think about it). The best parts were her specific life advice.

Wonderful commentary on being a woman....written by a great lady, now lost to us forever! Laugh, cry and love with her as the slice of every woman's life is presented with charm, finese, and clarity of insight ! Essential reading for all !

Interesting book. I wish I had read it rather than listened to the audio version. I did not like hearing the author reading it at all. She paused and emphasized her way through it as if each sentence was THE most important thing you'd hear and don't you forget it. The content went from boring (hair, neck, purse - I'm of an age to be happy to be alive, flabby neck notwithstanding) to entertaining (I live 10+ miles from the nearest supermarket so it was amusing hearing someone talk about life being ideal with your grocery store, pharmacy and dry cleaner all within 2 blocks of your 8 room apartment) to insightful and eloquent (thoughts on death - our friends' and our own).
All in all, pearls amid a lot of rambling.
