I have read hundreds of Trek books, and this is by far my favorite. Wonderfully intelligent speculative science, and fascinating story that ties in hundreds of years of trek lore. Simply brilliant. An enormous amount of love went into the crafting of this book. Truly a must read for Trek fans.

Whether you are a fan of the Original Star Trek or Star Trek: The Next Generation, you will be intrigued and entertained by this book. At one time, Kirk and crew must save Zephram Cochran, the inventor of the warp drive while 100 years later, Picard and his group must save Cochran again.
A wonderful crossover book by the best Star Trek writers ever, Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens.
