Horror seems to be a distraction for Mr. Hubbert. Although his Sci-Fi is very good, this book seemed to be a bit slow for my taste. His creation of a "period feel" was good though, I felt like I was reading something written in the past.

This is a classic tale of creeping, surreal menace and horror. This is one of the really, really good books.

I never read this book. I bought it because L.Ron wrote it. It's supposed to be really, really scarey; even Stephen King thinks so.
