The memory that jumped out was this:  I was nineteen and away from home for college.  I missed my family; I 'm the oldest of seven with three brothers and three sisters.  On Christmas morning I was given a big package by one of my sisters, a very shy sixteen year old at that time.  I couldn't imagine what it coud be; the package was light but bulky.  Something moved inside when I shook the box.  When I opened the package it was a hand croched afghan that my sister had made for me to take back to school, in my favorite colors.  I didn't know she could crochet.  It was her first big project.  I felt so surprised and honored that she took the time to make something for me.  I was in art school then and even did a painting that featured that afghan!  I still have it, but it is falling apart (it's almost 40 years old!)

I was about 7yrs. old and we were visiting the north pole. For a child that is a neat thing.I had drifted off from my parents and brother towards the train which went around the theme park because I saw a man to me looked just like Santa Clause. He winked at me and asked me if, "Little girl would you like to ride the train and then even said ho,ho,ho like Santa."I was convinced he was Santa and I agreed to go on the train. I remember waving and smiling to my mom,dad and brother as the train pulled off and I went for my ride with "Santa Clause".
