As a resident of the Salt Lake City area, I can't say that I think very much of Ms. Hansen's view of our little city. I think she misses the flavor of the place entirely. On the other hand, she would say the same thing about me, as her viewpoint is certainly every bit as valid as mine.

That part of things aside, I also didn't find the mystery to be very interesting. Again, the motivations of the public figures and local politicos just don't square with my view of these folks. Thus, it's not believable to me, and not very interesting.

Sorry.

I was disappointed in this book. I had previously read one of Andrews' books and enjoyed it, but she seemed intent on religion-bashing in this one.

I've really enjoyed this series. This book seems to be set within some very realistic possibilities. Earthquake fault lines under a big city. Cover-ups by city officials. this one is one my list as "a good read". nothing fancy, just a good solid story. Recommended by me!

Sarah Andrews' writing seems to improve with each book. Great story, believable, and impossible to put down! Nancy Drew for adults!
