As always Belva Plain is good in this, about secrets and lies.
. . . From her earliest years, Tina is exceptional, loving, a brilliant student. When she embarks on the road to adulthood and falls in love for the first time, a day of reckoning is drawing near...one that will expose long-hidden truths and test the limits of a mother's guilt, a father's love, and a dauther's capacity for forgiveness.
This was a wonderful story of a father's love and willingness to do anything to keep his daughter safe from an unloving and manipulating mother.
THIS IS A GOOD BOOK THAT I ENJOYED READING.
Is it kidnapping when a father steals his cherished daughter away from a destructive and unstable mother? Plain's heroine, now a grown woman, must decide for herself.

I enjoyed this book much more than I expected. It wasn't just fluff! A good story that is well written. An interesting situation!
This is one of Belva Plain's more suspenseful stories.

A good read about a father's love for his daughter.
Wow! What a story!! I first read Belva Plain's "After the Fire" and was driven to read another book of hers! So, this was my second read and I was not disappointed! She is a wonderful storyteller.
She writes in such a way that I felt I personally knew the characters and was actually witnessing the events directly with them.
I loved the ending! You read the book pretty much knowing the end would come as it would, but she paints such a beautiful ending in her stories I am hooked! Who DOESN'T love a great ending?!

I read Belva Plain's books years ago, but this is the first time in a long time. This book was fast-paced, and had a twist ending. I am looking for more of her books!
