Jessica is planning the perfect old-fashioned Thanksgiving for her friend, Scotland Yard Inspector George Sutherland. She wants him to experience the "real thing." Between her friends trying to bring some strange dishes to the feast, writers block, and mysterious neighbors, she runs into a bit of trouble doing so. Then of course there is that murder..... Great novel.

Previously...well, mostly...Jessica had to travel all over the world to stumble over a murder. But that is not the case here, as the body was practically in her front yard. The eventual identification of the murderer was a surprise to me.
These are good, light reads. Jessica realizes murder follows her everywhere but there is a logical reason for her to become involved and solve the mystery anyway. I was on the right track, but not quite right.
