This is really just a Young Adult book masked with an adult cover and blurb. The heroine is 14 years old, which I didn't know until I started reading this book. And it's told through her persepective. The flow of the story just moved too slow for me and the plot never seemed to get its footing. I waited for the twist and turns to come but they never did. It was obvious when things were going to happen and what would happen.

One serious problem I had with this book was when Sasha gets raped by a high school senior boy that is friends with the girl that hit her and her mother. And the way that whole incident comes into play. Why it was necessary I'm not sure, there really was no need for that scene to happen in this book.

It did have an intriguing story line and plenty of chances to be a really fantastic book but the execution just wasn't delievered as good as one would've expected.
