I LOVED this book. I had just made a new rule: there are too many good books to read so after a certain number of pages, if I wasn't in to the book, I'd give it up. Well, I finished the first (short) chapter of this book and KNEW I was going to finish it.

This book is smart and funny and warm and interesting. The story is unique. It's a pretty easy read, but not fluffy. It will make you smile, laugh out loud, and keep you interested through every page.

A perfect book for when you're not sure what to read next. HIGHLY recommended!

I'm a big fan of Elinor Lipman and have read everything she has written. I love her satirical view of mother/daughter relationships. Her writing is as sharp as her wit. This book, however, seemed forced and not up to her usual standards. Still, if you like this author, go ahead and read it anyway. And for newcomers to Lipman, start out with "Then She Found Me."

At first it was cute, light and entertaining then it got too laborious. I wanted it to conclude. Maybe at a different time, I might have enjoyed it more.
