While I normally love Debbie Macomber, I found this book to be preachy and ridiculous. This short story was originally published in 1994 as part of the book Purrfect Love and has now been re-released in hardcover for the whopping price of $16.99. It reads as though it were written in the 1950s. The main character is devastated by her divorce, no longer trusts men, and won't stand up to herself at work. She does, however, expect the man who allowed his cat to impregnate hers to "do the right thing" and help with her cat's pregnancy- related expenses. Being a saint of a man, he agrees, and a relationship ensues. Much of this book is focused on how wonderful and wise the male romantic lead is, with everyone coming around to his way of thinking in the end. Very disappointing.

I love Debbie , but this book was really a disappointment .
It's a short story that makes it easy to read. It's ten chapters long and all the chapters are short. This is a great little romance written around a cat and her owner. If your a cat lover you'll love this story. Besides being cute it has several recipes for your cat.
This read is absolutely adorable. Truthfully it all started out when a friend of Ms. Macomber's asked her to write a story about a cat. Well this is the cutest story. In short this cat belongs to an young woman you will fall in love with right away, she is intending to breed the cat to pay for her initial investment for it. Door gets left open, neighbors cat comes visiting and the story is then on a roll. It is fun, will make you smile, full of love and very entertaining. It also has some yummy sounding recipes for cats. As always with Ms Mccomber's books, i enjoyed my time with these pages.
Thought it was really cute how animals could bring people together.
Book was an enjoyable read, not too involved or something too in depth. More of a light read.

It has it's cute moments, but definitely some of Debbie's earlier work, which has improved drastically over the years.
I really enjoyed this story! Its a shorter story, but very cute!
