I know this was the first novel by this author, so I can excuse some of the issues I had with this book. That said, there was one phrase that was so completely over-used in this book that it became distracting. The author used the phrase "Hand to God" so much (it was used at least once in every other page, usually more often than that however) that by mid-book, I was cringing every time I saw it. I have never, ever seen one phrase used so many times in any book in my life.

The book was sweet, but there was no real plot. It was just too nice and too sweet and too perfect and ended as you would expect...perfectly.
