Someone is killing cops in Atlanta. Dr. Lydia Costa works in the E.R. when they bring in an injured policeman. She knows him. He works with her ex-husband, Ryan Winter, who is a detective with the Atlanta Police Department leading the investigation into the murders. Lydia worries that Ryan may be the next cop rolled into her E.R. The death of their young son tore apart their marriage, but they obviously still care for each other.
This was a well-written romantic suspense story. I had never read anything by this author, but will certainly look for more of her books now. The second chance romance in this book is wonderful. You couldn't help but root for Lydia and Ryan to get back together. The suspense portion of the book never let up. There were a handful of suspects to pick from. I was very surprised when the killer was revealed. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
